Music and Worship
At Avonhead Baptist Church we place more value on worship than the performance of the music team.
Our music teams aim to encourage the congregation to have a heart of worship. It is a time of directing one’s thoughts to God and preparing the heart for a time to praise God during worship; to worship in Spirit and in truth.
“Yet a time is coming and has come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23 - 24)
Our music each service is usually a mixture of contemporary and traditional.
